Where to.....

Cranes

While we often hear that people want to go to Africa to see "lions & tigers" (there are no tigers in Africa)........, BUT what isn't appreciated is that there are lions in India, and rhino too.India has over 100 National Parks (with 166 in total being planned) and in addition over 550 nature reserves. It is amazing that in a country of over 1.4 billion people that this much land is dedicated to nature. While some of the species found in Africa are also found in India, India hosts 410 species of mammals and 1,250 species of bird. To see the best that India has to offer will require that you travel to different areas, as the ecology varies greatly and so does the species distribution. And are you likely to see a tiger ? ..... well, in the 30+ years we have been organising safaris to India for our clients, 100% have seen them when they travelled to the locations we recommend.

Zanzibar

We consider Tanzania to be one of the wildlife gems of Africa. With famous names like Serengeti and Ngorongoro, it is a haven for wildlife lovers. The National Parks tend to fall into two groups, the "Northern Circuit' and the "Southern Circuit" - both quite different and equally worth visiting. Top this off with pristine coastal beaches and historic delights like Zanzibar, and then you are just only beginning to understand just how much Tanzania can offer you.
